USA-based home and lifestyle channel HGTV will be bringing its biggest and most popular shows to the region when it launches on beIN on November 1.
The channel, which broadcasts in over 40 countries around the world, is ranked amongst the top seven cable networks in the USA and has also attracted huge audiences across Asia.
The channel broadcasts DIY programs, design trends, and shares expert home improvement advice through shows such as Brother vs Brother, Listed Sisters, Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop.
Phillip Luff, Managing Director EMEA at Scripps Networks Interactive, the media company that owns HGTV, believes it will be hugely popular in the region due to the nature of the programs.
“There is a huge global appetite for our shows as they are not just entertaining, but they are truly relatable and inspirational,” he said.
“Everyone is always on the lookout to recreate a homely feeling, whether it’s a simple DIY paint job, or understanding the property market to secure your next home, and this is definitely the case in the MENA region where many people have several property investments around the world.
“We’re very excited to bring our top programs to the region and we’re confident they will be as popular here as they have proved to be in other international markets.”
HGTV will be available on beIN channel 118 through the Top Entertainment, Complete, Elite and Elite DUO packages.
