Startup Bahrain is re-launching as Startup MGZN as the monthly online magazine widens its scope to include start-ups and entrepreneurs from across the MENA region.

The magazine has published 34 digital issues since launching in 2013, featuring exclusive interviews with business leaders including H.R.H. Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, H.E. Sh. Mohammed bin Essa, Tamkeen Bahrain’s Chairman, Talabat’s Mohammed Jaffar and 500 Startups’s Dave McClure.

“This region needs to produce content as much as it consumes, and we need to lead the way in the digital efforts that enable that,” one of the project’s founders, Ahmed Al-Sawafiri said. “Startup Bahrain has grown to be an essential resource and community for Bahraini entrepreneurs and we aim to make it so for our neighbours in the region.”

The title has also introduced a new re-imagined app for iOS & Android built from the ground up revealing its vision for the future of digital publishing through real-time continuous publishing.

Startup MGZN reduces friction by showing content almost instantaneously rather than finding, downloading an issue, then swiping to the desired content,” explained co-founder Badar Kamal. “Now, content is immediate, free of barriers, it’s there as soon as you launch the app. It’s a content-first experience.”
