Sky News Arabia has expanded its footprint to Canada with the 24-hr Arabic news channel now available on Canadian cable television service Rogers Cable.
The move follows a similar deal in the USA which enables viewers to watch a live stream of the Abu Dhabi-based channel online for a monthly subscription fee.
Nart Bouran, CEO of Sky News Arabia, said: “After reaching out to our audiences in the United States via Sling TV, joining Rogers Cable was the next strategic step. We have always been keen to provide our followers and audience, regardless of their location, with a continuous broadcast of our unique content on various platforms.
“This expansion aligns with our efforts as an international media organization to provide quality content. It also complements our presence on other platforms such as satellite TV, website, social media, smart mobile applications, and live broadcasting on six major international airlines. This new service will enable our Canadian audience and followers to watch our broadcast on smart devices via subscription.”
Rogers Cable, part of Rogers Communications Inc, provides live broadcasting services of a number of international TV channels via the internet.
