PR service provider Secret PR is introducing a series of conferences to address the challenges faced by the public relations industry in the Middle East.
The first PR Pressure event takes place on May 25 at the Dusit Thani hotel in Dubai, with the topics for each conference to be chosen, or suggested, by the target audience 'to ensure they are relevant and up-to-date'.
Sarah Mohamed, Founder of Secret PR, said: “I want to give the industry a platform that is dedicated to the practice in the region. Our clients and the media operate differently here, and this demands a more pragmatic approach.”
The chosen topics for the first conference next month are:
• #UAEPR: A professional approach to the infamous thread
• Turning Tables: The industry’s challenges with #UAEmedia
• Arabic PR: Expectation vs. Reality
• Lagging Behind: A look at the tools we have available and what we need for the future
PR Pressure is currently gathering suggestions for the fifth and final topic. The top three suggestions will be put to a twitter poll, with the chosen subject due to be announced on May 5.
“Whether you’re part of a multinational company or an independent consultant for smaller firms, we created this platform for your voice to be heard and I would encourage all PR professionals to attend,” Sarah added.
Registration for the opening conference is now open online, along with the full agenda.
