nkdpizza has appointed communication consultancy CommFirm to handle digital, media, PR and events as the fast food firm prepares to re-enter the UAE market with three new outlets in Dubai.
Edward Rizk, VP Operations at nkdpizza, said: “We are happy to be back in the UAE after an absence of just over a year. We wanted to return with a bang so it was important for us to be aligned both globally with our international agency and locally in the UAE.
"We felt that CommFirm’s offering matched our mission and vision and is able to support our activities in the UAE, which is a very important market for us.”
CommFirm has handled several blue chip clients in the UAE including DWC (now Dubai South), Abu Dhabi Ports, Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad) and Daman Investments, while the agency’s F&B experience includes brands like Nonno Pizza, Eataly, Saraydan and the Azadea F&B Group.
nkdpizza plans to open outlets by Q2 of this year in Motor City, Business Bay and Dubai Marina, with plans for an aggressive growth spree during 2016 and 2017 to see additional stores opening across the UAE.
Tony. E. Saade, Director of Brand Strategy at CommFirm said: “After an intensive pitch process, we are ecstatic to have been selected and at the prospect of working with a healthy exciting pizza brand like nkdpizza. The region needs healthier fast food brands and we are confident that nkdpizza will go a long way to filling this gap perfectly.”
