New Owner for The National

International Media Investments, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation, has acquired ownership of The National newspaper from Abu Dhabi Media.
IMI and ADM issued a joint statement saying: “The 21st-century media landscape, dominated by digital platforms, especially mobile, offers new opportunities for The National to develop and extend its voice, while maintaining a robust presence as a traditional print asset.
"The National will remain at ADM until arrangements for the transfer of its operations to new premises are concluded."
International Media Investments, a private company behind ventures such as the collaboration with Sky UK to launch Sky News Arabia, thanked Abu Dhabi Media for the ‘continuing development and stewardship of a brand that has made a substantial contribution to media reporting and analysis in the UAE and region’.
