The Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) has launched a news magazine covering the oil and gas industry in the Sultanate.
OPAL - The Magazine will be published quarterly on behalf of the society by Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising (OEPPA), publishers of Oman Daily Observer and Oman Arabic Daily newspapers.
“The magazine aims to inform, enlighten, challenge, and engage the oil & gas fraternity on trends, issues and developments that are imperative to our collective well-being, as well as in advancing the nation’s strategic socioeconomic objectives,” an OPAL spokesman said.
The launch issue of the magazine deals with the impact of the global oil price downturn on the domestic oil & gas industry, and features exclusive interviews with Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Oil & Gas Under-Secretary, and PDO Managing Director, Raoul Restucci, who offer their respective takes on the crisis.
