New Malayalam Radio Station for the UAE

A new Malayalam radio station has been launched in the UAE by India-based Mathrubhumi Group.
Club FM 99.6 broadcasts music, news and entertainment programmes and is the fifth radio station to launch under the Club FM brand, joining stations in Thrissur, Kannur, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in the Indian state of Kerala.
The UAE station was launched by film actor Dulquer Salmaan from its base in Dubai Media City.
M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Director of Marketing and Electronic Media at Mathrubhumi Group, said: “Club FM is a sunshine brand, cherished for its zest, positivity and humour, and Club 99.6 will also share the same qualities.
“We have assiduously channelised our efforts in envisioning this product for UAE, which is a good market for FM. We are sure that our new endeavour will strike a chord with the young and among Gulf Malayalees.”
