New Editor in Chief for Iraqi news website

Erbil-based news website The New Region has appointed Dilan Sirwan as Editor in Chief.
The English language site covers political, economic and social issues from Iraq and the Middle East.
“The New Region is a project very close to my heart, and I am certain that, soon enough, we will become everyone's main source of English written news about Iraq,” he said. “We still have a long road ahead of us, but I am excited for the journey.”
