A television series promoting Malaysian cuisine in the Middle East is set to premiere on Zee TV Middle East later this year.
FoodAddict is being produced by Zen Productions with the aim of introducing the cooking traditions of Malaysia to an international audience.
The show’s concept was launched this week by Zenofar Fathima, the Dubai-based CEO of Zen Productions, in the presence of the Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE, entrepreneurs and dignitaries, along with Indian celebrities Javed Jaferi, Sukhbir Singh and R. Madhavan.
Zenofar, who will also produce and anchor the show, said: “When it comes to food, Malaysia is the best of Asia on a platter. I am very keen to provide a wide window into the rich and diverse dining options available in Malaysia, which certainly reflects the best taste of the Asian countries.
“I often come across so many guests from the Middle East in Malaysia who are looking at exploring different cuisines and seek certain suggestions and recommendations. The show will do just that, try to bring about the best that is there in each of the delicacies.”
The show will also include a section focused on healthy eating, which will be presented by Indian model-turned-actor Rahul Dev.
Zenofar added: “Having worked in Dubai for over 18 years, I can truly call this place my second home, and what better way to start my debut venture here. I am totally excited and thrilled.”
FoodAddict will air from September 2016 on Zee TV Middle East with the tagline: ‘The journey of great taste and good health’.
