Which Saudi Arabian newspapers are making the most impact on social media? We take a look at the most influential Saudi papers in terms of Twitter followers and Facebook likes.
Four newspapers have over 1 million followers on Twitter, with Al Riyadh leading the pack at over 1.5 million. The Saudi-owned pan-Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, which publishes three editions in the kingdom, ranks second, with business newspaper Al Eqtisadiah and Dammam-based Al Sharq also topping the 1 million mark:
English language newspapers dominate on Facebook with Arab News the clear leader with over 3 milion Likes, followed by Saudi Gazette with over 1.1 million. Asharq Al-Awsat is the leading Arabic newspaper with over 415,000:
