Chinese ‘infotainment’ channel launches from Dubai

A television station broadcasting to the Chinese community across the Middle East has been launched from Dubai Studio City.
China Arab TV (CATV) features 'infotainment' programming in Chinese, and aims to boost social, cultural and eoconomic ties between China and the Arab world.
Hadi Liu, President of CATV, said the new channel will play a vital role in creating better awareness for Chinese companies and investors keen to explore the Middle East market.
CATV broadcasts free-to-air across Asia and the Middle East on Asiasat 7 and is also available in the UAE via Du and Etisalat's cable TV packages.
