Seven new digital-only radio stations have been launched by the Arabian Radio Network (ARN).
The new stations, which are accessible to listeners within the UAE, are extensions of ARN’s existing FM radio brands Virgin Radio 104.4, Dubai 92, Hit 96.7 and City1016 and their associated apps.
Virgin Radio Dubai’s newest offshoots include Virgin Radio Beat, dedicated to the latest dance tunes and club anthems, and Virgin Radio Chill, offering relaxed tunes with unlimited skips.
Promising ‘more music and more variety’ Dubai 92 has introduced two new stations, 92 Rock – now home to The Dirty Harry Show at 12PM and The Evening Show with Nat Shariat at 8PM – and 92 Smooth, featuring Smooth Evenings with Ana Schofield.
ARN’s Malayalam and Bollywood stations, Hit 96.7 and City1016 have also expanded their offerings with the launch of Hit Classics, City Dance and City Dilse.
All seven stations are available via ARN’s existing apps, downloadable free of charge on iOS and Android devices, and offer listeners the ability to pause and rewind, view the last ten played songs and rate their favourite hits.
