An online platform covering arts and culture in the Middle East has launched from Dubai.
Fann Culture has been founded by editor Farah Al-Ibrahim, who was formerly Head of Digital Content at Al Arabiya News Channel.
"Fann Culture is built for a generation that lives online but craves depth," she said. "We use short-form video to turn cultural content into something engaging, shareable, and part of everyday life. Our goal is simple: to make art and culture feel accessible, modern, and truly lived, not just observed."
The platform has launched with a team of two and embraced AI as its ‘creative assistant’.
“Starting this project without external funding meant finding smart, cost-effective ways to execute big ideas,” Farah explained. “AI hasn’t replaced creativity; it has amplified it - allowing us to focus on storytelling, strategy, and artistic vision while handling repetitive tasks more efficiently.
"This isn’t just about saving costs; it’s about reimagining how cultural content can be produced and scaled in a way that’s sustainable and future-ready.”
