Ali Choukeir has been appointed Deputy Gulf & Yemen Bureau Chief at Agence France-Presse.
Now based in Doha, he was formerly Deputy Head of the Arabic Sports Desk in Beirut, having joined the news agency as Deputy Iraq Bureau Chief in June 2017.
